Belonging to the unique wattlebird family, the Tīeke or Saddleback can be found in both the North and South Islands of Aotearoa. Both species of Tīeke are critically endangered, with only approximately 650 South Island Tīeke currently in existence. Rescued from extinction in the 1960, the population is currently recovering under the careful care of the Department of Conservation.

This stunningly crafted cast glass Tīeke/Saddleback is created by the incredible glass studio, Luke Jacomb Studio. It has a screw in the back so it can easily be screwed directly into your wall. Looks beautiful alone or as part of a collection.
