Pendant- Toki Three (#02)

Beautifully handcarved Pounamu (New Zealand Jade) pendant by Queenstown artist Luke Leaf. Measures 8cm x 3cm, strung on a black waxed cord.

Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage to assist through life's challenges, and the koru is a symbol of rebirth, growth and new beginnings.

The toki (adze) was a chisel tool used by the Māori people of Aotearoa (New Zealand) to carve their great canoes and carved detailing on their meeting houses.
