Meterana Meyricci Moth - Enamel Pin

The Meterana meyricci is a species of moth endemic to New Zealand, and has been collected in and around Otago including the Coronet Peak Station. The stunning pink and green wings are flecked with gold, quite fitting as they are found in this area with such a history of gold mining! The moth feeds on Pimelea; the plant illustration can be seen on the backing card of the pin.
