Well, it's official. Apparently it's now Autumn. I think we'll ignore that for the time being and carry on enjoying the lovely summer weather here in Queenstown! We've got a showcase of NZ talent for you this month!
Nelson print-maker and ceramicist, Amber Smith, creates her art in order to explore her wairoa (spirit) and what it means to come from Aotearoa. “I love words and nearly always use them in my work. Maori whakatauki (proverbs) and waiata aroha (songs about the nature of love) have such an emotional resonance that they become part of the image itself."
We've just hung a group of Amber's box framed prints on the walls of the store which are also available on kapa.nz. Loving the intricate line work on the birds and simple use of colour to highlight the important messages in each piece! Have a look at them here.
NZ Flora Encapsulated
Nicki Cliff's art and sculpture background is evident when you look at her gorgeous sterling silver Lilygriffin jewellery! We've got a whole selection of her new pieces on the way including these stunning Manuka Flower Hook earrings!
| Lovingly handcrafted jewellery inspired by the natural beauty and colour of Aotearoa.
With a childhood filled with daisy chains and bushwalks through native forests, Nicki has a great weath to draw on to create her collection!

Law of the Wild
The Law of the Wild bag, by Status Anxiety, is a firm favourite! With the detachable front pouch and long shoulder strap it's a great all around bag.
The three designs (Black Cowhide, Bubble Leather and Cheetah) and the extra interchangable pouches are now 15% off on kapa.nz only in Marhc 2017 with newsletter offer code! Should be illegal :)
