I was recently in Australia visiting my Brother and Sister in laws, I’m not even too sure how it came up, but the phrase, I feel like a ‘Box of Birds’ popped into conversation. My thoughts started transforming that into images straight away...and the rest they say is history. In the box you find 6 birds native to our great land, the Wood pigeon, Royal Albatros, Kingfisher, Tui, Fantail and of course the classic NZ symbol the Kiwi. I have endeavored to capture the joy and chirpiness that the phrase its self talks of. I also love the curious nature and feel the birds have in this image.
