Limited edition 4-colour screen print on archival Fabriano paper (300gsm). Each of the first 2 ‘colour-ways’ on paper has an edition size of 40. Individually numbered, named and signed by the artist. Released during, and to commemorate, Easter 2010. Not intended as an irreverent piece, this imagery depicts the ‘Crowning with Thorns’. The artist achieves symmetry through depicting Jesus with the Tiki, both symbolising wise teachers. “I personally feel that this piece ‘works’ on many levels – from a purely pop-art Lichtenstein-inspired piece, through to commentary about what we consider important in society today?
