A signature Staub dish, the Round Cast Iron Cocotte is made in France using a sand mold which is destroyed after each piece is made making every Staub piece is totally unique. With a volume of 2.2 L, this cocotte is perfect for 2 people or larger side-portions, and can be used for slow cooking, stews or for meat and vegetable dishes.

Enamel cast iron is a traditionally strong material, ideal for low heat and slow cooking as it retains heat better than any other material and it's equal heat distribution eliminates hot spots. This is helped by the matte black enamel interior finish requires little seasoning over time and is more resistant to scratches and chips.

A heavy, tight-fitting flat lid saves energy while cooking and features a special design with self-basting spikes that collect condensation for continuous and even distribution of juices throughout cooking resulting in tender, aromatic food. With it's stylish, traditional design, the cocotte is ideal for use from oven to table, making a lovely presentation showpiece to impress your dinner guests and built to last in your kitchen for years to come.
